Losing $23.6 billion is now a success?

@patriot473 This is also not true.

Pure capitalism works, government bailouts do not. History has proved this over and over. So why repeat mistakes? GM should have been broken up into smaller companies. Now you watch how Nissan kicks the big, bloated & wasteful GM's ass on the electric car! US manufacturing will return when the unions are rejected and our trade policies favor American companies!

Fugumble - What kind of accounting are you doing? When have you seen a factory workers making $50,000 per year pay down a $1.2 million loan and still keep a living wage for his family? When is a company with the income of GM even able to pay back $60 billion and $50-60 billion in pensions!?!? Show me your accounting. GAO audit and CBO audit are not sure how this group of people can pay back the loan or generate enough GDP growth to justify bail out! For-ever dead-beats!

keep flapping your gums ... what kind of gross margins do these companies have?

Typical right-wing, do nothing haters who would rather plunge the deficit into deeper debt by giving huge tax breaks to the rich, but to save US manufacturing...they hate.
What patriots. Leave the country dammit if you hate it here so much!

Has anyone done the math? 50,000 jobs saved and Obama spent $65,000,000,000 or $1,300,000 per job. EXCUSE ME! Most small business owners can creat 10 jobs with $100,000 in assets. This president and democratic congress spend $1.3 million per employee for a $50,000 job!! What's wrong with this math?
Ragtopdodge - I am a democrat and I oppose this type of spending. These people have ZERO ability to pay back the funds. The money comes from the credit market. When Obama borrowed $60-65 Billion he took an equal amount in line-of-credit from Small Businesses. Effectivey distroying 26 small business job for each union job. Let the unemployment and small business destruction and collapse of regional bank records be the testiment, 2 million extra jobs loss. Regional banks was not cause!
