A quick tutorial on how macro filters work. These are a tool you can use to increase the minimum focusing distance on your camera's lens for taking closeup pictures in the home studio.

  • does the filter reduce the minimum focusing distance? for example the 40-150mm focuses within 1.5m distance. does the filter reduces the distance so i can stand nearer to subject?

  • @mimin5zidane yes, that's precisely what it does.

  • good video but does the order of the filters matter?

  • @jase1340 no, they are basically magnifying glasses. You can stack them up in any order. All you do is increase the power. But watch for vignetting (dark edges in the picture) if you stack too many or your using a wide angle lens.

  • Hey dude, please care of the focus of the camcorder next time you make a video for youtube... it bothers me that i cannot see the results if what i see is not focused...

  • @mimin5zidane Acts different with different lenses but allows all to cose up much more than max close up.

  • @jase1340 i watched another vid and it says to start with the strongist (+10)

  • @vichiousfishes sweet! thanks for the tip i already ordered mine
