This is the song that I had the pleasure to play for Doyle Dykes and a crowd of his fans at a recent Taylor Guitar Clinic featuring the amazing guitar playing of Doyle Dykes himself. It was an amazing experience to play with and for Doyle and Steve Parr of Taylor Guitars. I would really like to thank Steve and Doyle for giving me this wonderful chance of a life time and it was an amazing experience.

This is played through my L.R. Baggs Acoustic Reference Amplifier and mic'd with my Blue Snowball USB Mic.

Thanks again!

  • Dude, Awesome. Doyle is one of my heroes. my uncle J.P. Cormier is my biggest hero in the music business, but Doyle is right up there. Do you actually own all these guitars? I thought you were just in a music store at first hah.

    - Dylan Cormier

  • Thanks man! i checked out some of your vids they are great! and yeah those are all mine and my dads guitars :P

I took mandolin lessons from Darren McMullen he plays bass for JP. I have also seen JP live many times and he is just amazing, you are lucky to know him so closely.

  • Hey Richard, what is the difference in playability of a taylor dreadnought than a grand auditorium, concert etc.. I was checking out a 710ce online, could you tell me what u think about taylor dreadnoughts and if u know anything about the model that'd be great. If not, can you recommend other taylor models, any shape or wood doesnt matter. Thanks a whole lot

  • the only thing i don't like about the dreadnoughts are that with there big bodys you tend to loose most of your high frequencies which makes it good for just strumming out chords for genres like country like johnny cash you would rarely ever seen him playing anything different than a martin Dreadnought. this goes for all dreadnoughts not just the taylors too.

i think the best guitar for what you has described is a GA just because of its smaller body shape and its good for fingerpicking

  • do you like a 614ce?

  • i do like the 614ce because of its flamed maple back and sides and wonderful fretboard inlay that it has. the sound out of them are great too

see all
