I'm amazed at how many people commenting seem to think Matt Johnson is deriding the very existence of religion, when what he's talking about is the misuse and abuse of religion by human beings. This song isn't endorsing atheism, it's calling for a return to a true understanding of God. "It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds"... How much more obvious could he have made it?
