Some Summer
- Tamara Kim
It was some summer, everything got deeper
There was so much more than what I'd felt before
But it took me so long to start on this song
It took me so long to see what we were
To me, to you, to us, I've gotta say I'm sorry
After a year I made you shed tears
You wouldn't even know just how my heart felt seared
I stood up to smile and built up my days
I hand't a clue how I could get away
From me, from you, from us, I've gotta say I'm sorry
CHORUS
I looked around while falling down
It wasn't half as scary as I thought it would be
And what put me at ease is just as soft a summer breeze
I've come to see that I can be
Anything that lets me be a happier me
And what puts me at ease is just as soft a summer breeze
BRIDGE
My first heart, my first night, my first pain
You have them all, and you keep them all
You said you liked that I was so honest
But I don't know if I could ever be honest
The smile in your eyes, the timbre of your voice
As you told me something I won't be hearing
From me, from you, from us, I've gotta say I'm sorry
CHORUS

Sounds good, reminds me a bit of Paul McCartney and wings.

I particularly liked the ending- when I thought at first you didn't resolve to the G, but I heard it the second time. I think it'd be more effective that way, particularly if it was connected to something in the words about the sorrow.
