Sidney (our 7 year old staffie) jumps up and grips a branch that we hold in front of him, in his iron jaws. That feat completed, he goes on to win the branch through writhing, shaking and thrusting his stubby little legs and body. A must see!!!

  • Use a Tyre or Rope not WOOD!

  • @theBucketofTruth Please learn about the SBT before making ill informed comments. That is a healthy, happy dog. The only thing SBT's love more than running round the countyside and playing with sticks is playing with children.

  • This dog is really cute. The overall video is really inane though. Also, you're risking an injury to his cruciate liagament by allowing him to fall backwards onto his back legs over and over again.

  • @weirds0up "locking yaws" do not exist.

  • @weirds0up It is a myth that SBT's can lock their jaw, in fact no dog can lock their jaw.

  • @TheUnreaI The SBT is a dog most unlikely to bite a child. If you don't believe me go and read the breed standard where it says the SBT is totally relieable with children, one of only two dog breeds that are, the other being the Labrador. How do you think the SBT has the nickname 'the Nanny dog'?

  • @eldridgepaul Yeah thats why they bite them all the time.

  • This is why Staffs get such a terrible reputation because they're able to lock their jaws and so when the badly raised ones get out and attack they cause so much damage to who ever they attack.

BTW, this isn't meant as an attack on the people in this vid. your dog looks very happy and healthy.

  • He's cute.

  • @VKGchaos Completely different dogs!!

If you want more a family dog choose a Staffy, if you prefer a guard dog choose a Rottweiler...either way, i hope you have some experience with dogs, cause none of those breeds are meant for rookies...if you know what i mean...

  • hey look he brought back mommy a stick and two men!!!
