  • Good info! Please clarify a few things:

    The Protech 51-23053/5-11 is often used to replace a three wire fan unit but comes with five wires. The diagram is (for non-hvac types) difficult to figure out: What is meant by "line"? Is "line" the FAN terminal on the circuit board or is it one of the terminals on the contactor?

    What's the difference between three and four wire hookup as shown on Protech diagram? Which is of the two is preferred?
