XBox Kinect OSCeleton

Want to do 2D or 3D animation but you find it hard and time-consuming?
Want to build games but the artwork is your bottleneck?

Fortunately we now have low-cost 3D cameras, thanks to Microsoft and PrimeSense.

OSCeleton is basically a DIY motion capture system.
It sends 3D tracked body skeletons trough the OSC protocol so you can build anything easily.

So...

Grab the drivers:
http://github.com/avin2/SensorKinect

Follow the install instructions:
http://ros.org/wiki/ni

Download OSCeleton and run the binary:
http://github.com/Sensebloom/OSCeleton
(use "OSCeleton -h" in the command line for more options)

and the Processing examples in the video:

Try Animata too:

how did you run the animata where when side by side the one on the left for the doll without those lines covering over the image ???

@cruxphotography This is strange, we haven't seen this problem anywhere else yet. What windows version are you using?

@cruxphotography I orgot to mention that you also need to have installed the 32bit version of Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package. I can't post the URL because youtube won't let me, but google for "vc2008 redist", it should be the first result.

@Mr320d the kinect is connected to my pc and works with the OpenNI / NITE samples...still the same error.
