How to Install a Radar Detector on a Sportbike Motorcycle

This is a quick walkthrough and explanation of my radar detector setup on my R1. This was way easier to do on my R1 than on my previous bike, and I hope it goes this easily for you. I used to use this radar screamer which I describe in the video, but the maker of this product was a complete ass to me when I asked him for an upgrade to accommodate my new radar detector, so I switched to a bluetooth setup, which is cheaper and works far better. I would no longer recommend the radar screamer.

Thanks a lot for the video, I wont have thought behind the windshield! I do have a question if you don't mind. In a comment to wicked 25 you mentioned this setup didn't work with your newer R1. I have a 2009, what do you think? Thanks again

@f34dave I have an upgraded video on my channel where I described how I did it on my 2009 R1. I couldn't get it behind the fairing like on the 06, but the setup performs better than before; I just have to watch it when I leave the bike unattended.

How do i know what kind of radar i should use in my country?

@sykrot I'm not sure, you will just have to look it up I supposed. I know the RX65 is available in many countries, but I don't know what kind of radar bands they may use in your country.
