I AGREE GUYS, Fleury should be in our lineup , it was all just a big stint to sell preseason tickets and it pisses me off, especially to us long time Flame fans who remember fleury and the energy he brings. Also with this stint in mind why would you do this to a guy who finally got straight from a battle like he had knowing damn well he had no chance, and forgetting everything he gave us flame fans over the years. Its dispicable, It even makes me wish the Oilers took em and he scored the gw goal

Theo is my hero. I'm 15, I hardly ever got to see him play, I'm a huge flames fan. It brings tears to my eyes everytime i see him score that goal in the shootout then go over to the bench and iginla is on the bench with the biggest smile ive ever seen him have and he pats fleury on the back. Even though he didn't make the team, I was happy with being able to see my hero in a flames uniform. And knowing he got to retire as a calgary flame is great.

@CrosbyIsKing That team proved pretty quick that they should have signed him. According to himself and the team his numbers he put up during the physical were higher than they had ever been during his career, so who knows what he could have done. Im pretty sure that if he could lead chicago in points while being an alcoholic a few years earlier, he could have at least made an impact on the flames.

@kirant Fleury is better then these AHL kids. and most of the NHL players. i was at both games and he looked good, obvioulsy not like a 20 year old fleury but he was a great leader in the room for our young players. His bad habbits are in the past he could have helped lead this team well

@poopyodb - As much as I loved watching him again, he wasn't as fast as he used to be. He constantly was stuck in the neutral zone, too slow to get back to his own end. And this was against a lot of AHLers and prospects. Imagine if he had to keep up with the speed and skill of the Red Wings or (as much as it pains me to say this) Canucks.

It would have been nice to give him a chance though....let him be the 14th forward and bring some positive emotion to the 'dome.
