I bought an Axe with great expectations. I was disappointed. It is a good unit for convenience, but it certainly doesn't sound as good as any amp I've played (Herbert, VH4, Rectifier, Mark V, Mark IV, Mark III).
I found that the Axe and TC (G Major II, G System) processors suck tone. TC makes chords lose individual clarity of strings. Axe makes the tone darker. I recommend Eventide's Factor processors because they are VERY transparent.
