I was lucky not to get Hertford Loop because I was going to have it for my Birthday last year but it turned it I didn't get it. I think if you go to the Europeanbahn Site or search install problem for Hertford Loop on Google then I think it tells you how to sort the problems for Hertford Loop. But I'm not sure if it's to do with the problem that you had you said, where your Trains and routes were deleted and then your PC went slow.

You're lucky you got a good copy of this route, mine just deleted all my other routes and trains, and then ran REALLY slowly on my up-to-date PC...
