2004 Australian Formula 3 Championship - Round 7 (Mallala, SA), Race two.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of F3 racing in Australia, www.formula3.com.au will this year be diving into the video vault in order to show some of the best races in the series' history.
This video comes from the 2004 season championship, where Chris Gilmour, Ian Dyk and Karl Reindler, the eventual champion, went toe-to-toe all season long in the fight for the championship. In this climactic race at Mallala -- one of the best of the season -- Reindler, Gilmour and newcomer Tim Slade duke it out in front whilst impressive Rookie Nic Jordan (Then only 16 years of age) also joins in the fun.
This was the decisive round of the 2004 championship and set up a thrilling finale' on the Gold Coast for the final round two months later.
This if the first of many videos www.formula3.com.au, in partnership with series sponsor Kumho Tyres, will be brining you this year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of internationally recognised Formula 3 competition in Australia.
Enjoy!
