Back Waxing - The Art of Branding and Manscaping. I got back waxed. A Waxing Poetic Music Biz Video from Branding Fool Loren Weisman.
Anyone that knows me, well, knows I am a little hairy. A mix somewhere between Chewbacca and Big Foot, and back waxing was never thought to ever be part of the equation, till now.
On the seven month anniversary of The Artist's Guide to Success in the Music Business, published by Greenleaf Book Group, as a branding stunt from the branding fool, I visited Greenleaf Waxing Studio in Los Angeles, to get my logo and my brand, waxed out of my back.
Waxing your back or in this case, back waxing from Amanda at Greenleaf was a bit rough. I wanted to shoot a back waxing video to promote the Proof of Concept Book Signing and Speaking Summer Tour along with the release of the first chapter of the audio book. I also wanted to promote the kick off of the book tour at the Santa Monica Barnes and Noble on the third street promenade on Saturday, June 28th, 2014, from 12pm to 4pm. Lastly to showcase the art of branding in smart and not so smart ways.
Being back waxed or getting the logo waxed out of my back was different, painful ad one of those things I wouldn't recommend to anymore or ever do again. Still mixing a little manscaping or back waxing with a little branding to stand out just a little to promote the book tour, the audio book and the Santa Monica Barnes and Noble Appearance seemed like a funny idea to do at the time.
