  • man this band could go so far, they have such awesome talent

  • Gotta love other bandmembers getting mic time. It seems whit enjoys backing and takes it serious enough to do a good and supportive job.

  • @l0lercaust for us old-timers shannon larkin started out with ukj.

  • @btardif79 blah blah blah, who cares? Different band, why do you need to compare?

  • he sits on a stool too much onstage.

  • Whit is always in a band with left handed guitarist

  • THIS BAND BLOWS AWAY GODSMACK> WHIT IS A FAR BETTER SINGER THAN SULLY.

  • @l0lercaust well now theres 2 different subjects.

concerning Robby, its like i said, check out the Good times Bad times video where he does some double finger technic on the bass... its not much but its a small example o what he was taught... his father was a good jazz musician...

as for shannon, hes been a proffessional musician for almost 30 years, been thru several bands with a great variety of music gendres.... all from trash metal, nu metal, punk, and heavy metal/hard rock...

  • @neojimmy721 I've never seen or heard of anyone citing Godsmack's drummer as influence.

I'd say Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Flea, Rob Trujillo, Cliff Burton, Les Claypool are all better basists by FAR.

There are an infinite number of guitarists who are all amazing

and there is an almost limitless number of drummers who exemplify why Godsmack's drummer is good, but not one of the best.

Godsmack is good, but much of their music sounds too similar. They lack a strong amount of variety

  • @l0lercaust an above average drummer?... again you are underrating him.... how come so many new drummers from these new generation bands all idolize him?... some even try rippoff his style... i dont need to watch either steve or billy cause ive seen that... maybe you should take some time to see Robbys twofinger bass technic.... he holds some seminars every once in a while.... he was already an awesome bass player before being a Godsmack member... oh btw, Godsmack are already considered Great

  • @neojimmy721 He's an above average drummer but definitely not one of the best alive. As far as bass/guitar have you heard of Steve Vai or Billy Sheehan? /watch?v=m6qf9RQhjqs at 2:30 watch them go back and forth and tell me anyone who could keep up with these guys. Granted some of it is showmanship and overly technical, a good portion of it sounds better than anything I've heard come out of godsmack. Godsmack isn't bad, but they're underwhelming compared to the greats.

  • @l0lercaust dude that is so underrating godsmack.... shannon is one of the best drummers alive, robbie is so multi-talented as bass player and tony has matured so much as lead guitarrist.... they are rated one of the best live acts in this industry and that goes way beyond being just a nice instrumental band....
