Kitaab ut-Tawheed (The Book of the Unity of God)

http://www.islamicweb.com/beliefs/creed/abdulwahab/

Shaikh Imam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab was a great man, an outstanding reformer and a zealous preacher, who appeared in the Arabian Peninsula in the twelfth century A.H.

People in Najd at that time lived in a condition that could not be approved by any believer. Polytheism had spread widely; people worshiped domes, trees, rocks, caves or any persons who claimed to be Awliya (saints). Magic and soothsaying also had spread. When the Shaikh saw that polytheism was dominating the people and that no one showed any disapproval of it or no one was ready to call people back to Allah, he decided to labor singly and patiently in the field. He knew that nothing could be achieved without Jihad, patience and suffering.

It is a known fact that every favor has its envier, as every preacher has his enemies. Allah, the Exalted, said in the Qur'aan: "And so We have appointed to every Prophet an enemy - devils among the men and Jinn - inspiring to each other adorned speech as a delusion. And had your Lord willed they could not have done it. So, leave them alone to their fabrication." [Soorah al-An'aam (6): 112]

When the Shaikh became famous for his teaching, and his writings received wide popularity among the people, many envious groups emerged as his opponents.

The Shaikh, strove in his preaching and Jihad for fifty years from 1158 A.H. until he died in 1206. He resorted to all methods of his mission - Jihad, preaching, resistance, debates and arguments until people adhered to obedience and demolished the domes and mosques built by them on the graves and agreed to run their affairs in accordance with Islamic Law, discarding all rules and laws which had been applied by their fathers and forefathers. Then after the death of the Shaikh, his sons, grandson and supporters continued his mission and struggle in the cause of Allah.

  • @binmoiz I am a Muslim and really don't know a whole lot about the man's life. What I can say, with certainty, is that the resulting philosophies as applied in today's world are awful. There is absolutely nothing in the Quran that dictates a woman wear a black garment head to toe in sweltering heat, or that would forbid her from driving, or even would forgive her from going to the store by herself. That is all cultural, misogynistic garbage. Is he responsible for that? I don't know.

  • Amazing video. I've read many of the Sheikh's books myself and there is nothing against Islam in them. Many people slander him with disgusting accusations and I've come to know that they have not read anything from his teachings. They just have this blind hatred towards him which all came from malicious backbiting.

  • @StickyCurry

I know everything about the term wahabbi, it was the british people who created it.. U dont need to explain me brother ;D.. It just the nasheed who mention the term "wahabbi". But never mind,

    Walaikum Asalam Warahmatullah..

    Brother in Islam.

  • @BlaBlaBlaSami my intention is not to hurt u brother, but i speaking in a general form, the term Wahabi being used by pple is only to create fitnah not as shown here...pple use it to mock others etc..i dont understand y ahlul bdah use this term ...just because pple want to follow Tawheed..all of a sudden they make a name for him.

  • @BlaBlaBlaSami stop using the term Wahabi, not only is it incorrect but mportantly its HARAM!

  • jazakALLAHu khairan

Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab may ALLAHswt have mercy on him
