Volvo Trucks - Women in trucking opens doors in US trucking industry

There are more female truck drivers in the US than in any other country in the world. Ellen Voie, president of the Volvo Trucks supported organisation Women in trucking, explain how they work to increase the number of women behind the wheel.

Very good! I'm not sure of the percentage in the UK, but Women should be made more aware of it, just because its a big vehicle doesn't mean they can't drive it, i think there is a stigma to people worrying how large they are, and also a female's view point on the fact a truck driver should generally be male. Humans can do anything, no matter what sex. Once you get the hang of it, it's like driving a mini!
