Mustang Cobra blows transmission at drag strip

01 cobra at milan dragway blows 2nd gear because of the IRS suspension which made me wheel hop.

ive been racing at milan for years and the worst car ever i had was my 01 cobra. got it to go a 13.15 but that was a no wheelhop day. rest was 13.4. I lemon lawed that roach. worst stang out of all ive owned. Stayed away from irs stangs ever since. opening day coming april 2nd. cant wait.

that sucks man the family has 3 93 cobras an 04 cobra and then my 93 coupe my dad and uncle don't run on the track but my best with the coupe has been a 13.17 and destroyed a center-force clutch in the third run but haven't popped a tranny yet that's a bad deal i would recommend addressing the wheel hop issue it makes a big diff in both tack times and of-course not tearing crap up
