Had to laugh at the 'angry wife' remark. It's very much the other way around in my house. My boyfriend goes mental if I spill even a drop of water lol. Good video from a female reefer.

Look like you are both stoned on weed:P

No hanging/canister BIO filters?
Did these guys begin the cycling w/ the 2 power heads and a the live rock? I am guessing the two power heads circulating with the rock is good enough for an intitial cycling? Does the protein skimmer + carbon canister combo replace your standard hang/canister filters? Thanks for the info; Great videos!

mangrove shoots will replace a skimmer.

Dont buy a test kit. waste of money. water changes filter with mesh and carbon , skimmer, gravel cleaner and more water changes. and cleaner wrasse or shrimp. all you ned trust me

This series is definitely helping take the guesswork out of setting up your first Saltwater aquarium. Your step by step approach is a great way illustrate the benefits of using available technology to help maintain a more stable environment (although it isn't need to get started) I'd give this video 2 thumbs up if I could but YouTube will only let me give it one. Nice work!

@MonkinOut Thank you, I think this is the best complement we have received. Feedback like this is exciting because it is exactly what we are trying to do, show how to set up a tank and be successful without all the BS. All of the equipment in some way is optional, we just want to give a brief overview of what each piece does and what to expect out of it. It is our sincere hope that anyone who views this completed series can get 90% of the knowledge they need to start a tank successfully.
