jerry reed isnt in this movie. the guy he meets in the pool hall is bo hopkins, he was in american graffiti as joe the pharo. they look very similar, i used to get them confused

1973, The USA were changing to the new 1971 yellow center lines on the roads ( MUTCD (Manual for Uniforn Traffic Control Devices) ) In the chase, you see the new yellow lines out of the backs of the cars and the former system in front. An excellent year for these annoying, yet quite amusing continuity errors.
