Oxjam Music for Oxfam | "Keep the Faith" by Jackie Bristow

FOR RELEASE 31 OCT 2007 (Auckland, New Zealand): Here's a very rare, "up close and personal" performance by singer songwriter Jackie Bristow to help raise awareness and money as part of the Oxjam Music Festival in support of Oxfam, a global charitable organisation based in the United Kingdom.

Jackie performs this brand new song -- "Keep the Faith" -- exclusively for Oxfam from her flat currently in Auckland, New Zealand, and you'll feel that she's singing just for you!! Watch and see... and savour the experience!!!

Jackie is a critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist born in New Zealand (a "Kiwi"), who has been performing her thoughtful and thought-provoking music around the world since she was a young child. Over the last 10 years, Jackie has toured Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States professionally while basing herself in Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, California, USA.

Her latest album, "Crazy Love" (following on from her debut album "Thirsty" in 2004) was released in October 2007 -- the same month as the Oxjam Music Festival worldwide benefiting Oxfam.

Oxfam works with others to find lasting solutions to poverty and suffering. Oxfam uses a range of approaches to achieve change and improve peoples' lives, including saving lives through emergency response; longer term development programmes; and campaigning to achieve lasting change. Oxfam GB is a registered charity (no 202918) and a member of Oxfam International.

Jackie is one of three phenomenal female singer-songwriters in different parts of the world who have teamed up via YouTube on behalf of Oxfam for this "virtual international gig" as never before done for Oxjam!!
