Yah this to me is also one of the best boxing movie story. In terms of technique and storytelling, it's not as polished as Raging bull of course. But in terms of the story and heart in it, I'd say it's one of the best if not the best movie that captured the spirit of the sport of boxing. There's no good guy or bad guy here. Only two men duking it out with so much heart and stake in line. In the end, that's what boxing has always been.

I agree with you guys, I ve always been a Rocky fan, but this tops it. Best boxing movie ever.

raging bull is amazing but cinderella man is a soap opera, truly aimed to make people cry and thats it , i think crying fist is a lot better than cinderella man, better acting and more crude

I think Raging Bull and the Rocky series are great in their own way (and Cinderella Man), but this film tops the lot, by FAR. My all time fave movie. No other film blends realism / brutality with sensitivity and beauty quite like this does. And Min-Sik Choi is THE MAN. (Oldboy - 2nd fave movie) Check out 'Champion' too, if you liked this - another Asian boxing flick based on a true story. I love Asian cinema.
