The San Francisco Giants won their first World Series since moving west from New York in 1958. To celebrate, the city played host to a victory parade that began on Washington Street, travelled down Montgomery and Market Streets before reaching Civic Center Plaza, where a victory rally was held before thousands of fans. Workers throughout The City played hooky to attend the festivities on a day that will not soon be forgotten!
