DON'T USE OLIVE OIL!!! USE MINERAL OIL!
-
@Wafflepudding it deffinately can and does. use 3 in 1 oil and rub it on the blade it prevents rust

I just sharpen my knives with that crap knife sharpener in the kitchen drawer whenever it gets dull :/
Forget preserving sharpness whenever you can just swipe it five or six times and have it razor-ass sharp again.

Don't be a fool: Wrap your tool!

Cool video, I'm sure gonna start taking care of my knives better. I didn't think anyone thought stainless steel couldn't ever rust. Don't know much about knives myself, but it's basic chemistry.

@jackntilly Bear Grills was a reserve in the SAS, Ray Mears teaches SAS troops and recruits survival and bushcraft.

If it's a steel...it will rust, period. It definitely takes longer and is more resistant to rusting but it will rust...
-
All steel rusts eventually
Ray Mears sucks huh? Even though anyone with a brain knows he is like the best bushcraft and survival instructor in the world? You know who taught the SAS what they know? Ray...
Yea you can think he sucks, but anyone who knows anything about survival knows that he really does know what he is talking about, and you obviously dont.

you are thinking of ceramic magnets or neodymium, magnetic strips are soft and cannot scratch steel I have magnetic strips and if you want you can tear them using only your hands
