Everyone at Sac State for letting us steal the 3rd floor at The Union.
Everyone at Carmichael Park that stopped to watch while we were practice, then complimented us -- gave us more motivation. :)
EVERYONE IN RHYTHM OF CHANGE. For your unending dedication and supporting each other through everything. I think everyone saw our passion that night. All the nights getting home at 9 from the park or Sac State = amazing tiring, but worth every second.
Rhythm of Change. This time, we worked on the choreo for about 5 or 6 weeks. Hip hop and popping were new to many of us, so it took time to get used to the movements and put ourselves into our dancing. Same with breaking for others who flourish in freestyling hip hop choreo/popping/whatever else.
We had no where to practice because no teacher advisor, but we wanted to throw our hearts down on the dance floor one last time as a final plea to keep Rhythm of Change a club at school. We practiced at five, count them, FIVE different locations.
- Sac State (CSUS) in The Union by the West Elevator
- Swanston Park
- La Sierra Community Center
- Gibbons Park (behind the Community Center with windows as mirrors)
- Carmichael Park's stage
It was trying. We got home at 8:30-9PM every night. Some weeks we had practice every week. I held "catch-up" sessions for people who were new and needed more help. The whole crew put up with my mood swings. But in the end, it paid off.
THANK YOU RHYTHM OF CHANGE. Could not ask for a better Senior year Homecoming.
We're rockin' Twirp Rally and Farewell.
