Let's look at some of God's morals, as written in the bible:

- If you work on a Sabbath, you should be killed [Exodus 31:15]

- If your son disobeys you, murder him [Deut 21:18 -21]

- Sell your daughter into slavery to pay the bills [Exodus 21:7]

- If your children curse you, kill them [Lev. 20:9]

- Women are subservient, they must remain silent [1 Tim 2:11-12]

- Slaves must perform any act you wish [Titus 2:9]

@gregrutz: Um, these are not morals. The ones from the Torah were a two way covenant that the Jewish people enterred into with God. They didn't have to agree with it, but they did, because the upside was "decent". Have you read the rest of the bible or just these parts?

How many times does science have to prove the bible wrong?

@gregrutz How about nonce? Ever known what it feels like to be completely out of control, yet completely safe at the same time? The bible is not a science book. You may as well ask, how many times does science have to prove a cookbook wrong when it tells you apple pie tastes good. Is science the only "reason" keeping you from surrendering your life to God?

@jfjweb ok.  How many civilizations religions to we have to prove as mythology, before all religions are seen for what they are, mythology. There might be a god or gods, but no religion on earth is true, since there is zero evidence. Just a bunch of fairy tale believers

@gregrutz The parables in the bible were not written properly it cant be read unless its based upon ones own paternal sense ' the bible wasnt written over 1500 years and it wasnt written by more than one person' the narrative of the book is all within the same linguistical accounts' it would be nice if people actually did a little research before they go around making it up to look intelligent' It can be proved that one person wrote it'

After many years of thinking I was a Christian believer, I finally read the bible.

Thanks to reading the bible with an open mind, and applying rational, reasonable, logical thought process, I am now finally free from all that mumbo jumbo religious bullshit. I reject it entirely!

I think that everyone should read the bible... not snippets taken from here and there to (no context) to "prove" a point ... read it all!
