Time to take some idiot new school fans to school First off Dustys' first reign as nwa champion was years before he was the booker for JCP. Dusty was the most over face in the country pre-Hoga and did it without the wwf hype machine. They packed crowds long before cable television. This was in Japan and they always drew a crowd. Didn't I see Wahoo McDaniel towards the end going into his war dance. I would watch Florida Championship wrestling on a UHF channel as a kid and Dusty Rhodes was "electrifying" to say the least. So if you got a case of don't know your wrestling history.....this is a part of it. They weren't no wimps and not on steroids.
