I have a better question. If the spiders eat, eat and eat, how did they stay underground, and not consume the world from the inside out in the first place? Plus, they are animals... so (as it's already been said) the spiders would listen to the tongue... Mind you, that would completely defeat the purpose of the story, and the TV show xD

@EclairBlanch That plan is based off of two things:

1) They were good guys (they are neither good nor bad).

2) That the spiders would listen anyway.

As Omi has shown to us, not all animals are nice. Besides, I don't think it'd work for the spiders anyway; they're arachnids, not animals.
