If Uthman did burn the manuscripts, it would have been for another wisdom. I trust his judgement 110 %, but Uthmaan alone is not the sacred keeper of the Qur'aan,

There would have always been a huge number of others who memorized it.

And one official manuscript would not have sufficed as there are actually several mutawwattar ways to recite Qur'aan which involve adding and changing elongations, pauses, letters and other things

That wouldn't be possible for someone to change the " official " copy of the Qur'aan because it is Mutawwattar, which can loosely be translated to mean:

" overwhelmingly witnessed, transferred"

That means that a great number of people memorized it, who transferred it onto other people who transferred to to other people etc. In essence, the possibility that the vast majority of those people would make the same mistakes in transferring is negligible

Uthman burning the evidence of all the manuscripts including what Zaid (Muhammad's companion) had compiled under the 1st Caliph Abu Bakr, should get you thinking

Also as to why Uthmans was assassinated after he burnt all the evidence

If Uthman's burning of the evidence was only to do with the "Tashkil", he could have at least preserved the original verses written down by the scribes as proof

The poets in Muhammad's day mocked him for for the grammatical errors in the Quran. Don't you read your own islamic sources? Mo had their heads chopped off or didn't you know this? lol
