The all-new Ram is radical--just like the early nineties revamp that saw the Ram's sales skyrocket. But it's under the skin that the revolution lies this time: a coil spring rear suspension marks a half-ton pickup first. Is it enough to make the Ram the best 1500 out there? NiceDrivz's Isaac Bouchard decides.

  • I dont know why but for some reason no matter how much I like the Doge Ram 1500 I still prefer the Nissan Titan Crue Cab, both have positives and negatives but for me the Nissan Titan Crue Cab is for me. Some things just cant be explained.

  • A high end chevy silverado have 403 horsepower

  • @defkon99 I just searched it and WOW! ...scary! No can't say I've ever seen or experienced this problem in any of the Dodge Trucks I've owned. I knew a guy who had a different make truck in a 250 series that he beat the crap out of with plowing and abuse that had a similiar issue when his king pins were falling out. Then again an 8 plus y.o. truck with almost 200k on the clock will need maintenance.

  • @BerettaM9USAF this is what i was referring to: gbhmKYvRiHk i mean if the 1500 dont do it i will still consider getting one. thx

  • @defkon99 Never heard the term you mention, nontheless I did have a noise that ended up being a bad hub/bearing ass'bly. Have a great dealership that took care of it along with bad outer t-rod and align w/rental at $0. So other than my time taking it in I'm no worse for the wear. FYI the 1500 & 2500 susp. are totally different. 1500 has multi-link rear w/coil, more for ride. the other has leafs & not much different from prev. 2500. I'm a GC and don't load it down super heavy.

  • @BerettaM9USAF have you noticed any type of wobble at high speed or over bumps at speed i know this " Death Wobble" is what they call it affects the 2500 trucks but just wanted to see if it affected the 1500 at all.

    thx

  • I've been a Mopar guy for over 20 years and I've got an '09 CCab with 26K, great ride and power [it passes everything but the gas station] 4wd is unstoppable in midwest winters. REN radio problems galore, replaced by fact. 3 times. Had numerous recalls [misc. issues] but have to say no failures or tow-in's yet. Have to say rides better than my prev. '04 Durango LTD w/bilsten shocks. V. nice on long family trips. I'd have to say 3.75 outta five stars.

  • @JRT9097 I'm sorry you seem to be having such a poor experience with your Ram. I have a 2010 TRX4 Quad Cab, and I have to say that I have not experienced the truck dropping to the overlaod bushings, to be honest, I've had more then 500 pounds in the back, plus I use it to tow occasionally. Still no problems to speak of, and the truck has almost 9,000 miles on it. Every thing is in top shape, as if I drove it off the lot yesterday. I'm quite pleased with my Ram, wouldn't buy any thing else.
