Vadodara-Ahmedabad: India's National Expressway 1 near Nadiad (7)

The 6-lane NE-1 connects Ahmedabad and Vadodara in Gujarat State. The distance of approx. 100 km. can be covered in an hour or so in daytime. Notice the colourful flowering shrubs planted along the divider. They say NE-1 is planned to be extended all the way up to Mumbai in Maharashtra State.

There are just two exits from the NE-1, at Nadiad and Anand.

It would be nice if it had an extra lane on each carriageway. So in total, it's 6 lanes. But the expressway must always be maintained, clean and tidy all year round and people must drive safely and sensibly without speeding and endangering the lives of other road users and passengers.
