Billy comes in with her vocal of this wonderful tune written by Ralph Rainger and Dorothy Parker.Solos follow by Ben Webster and Teddy and a final chorus is been played by the full band with Roy Eldridge on trumpet, John Kirby on bass, Cozy Cole on drums and John Truehart guitar.
A masterpiece!

  • When I think there is just so much crap in the world, which of course there is, I will sometimes listen to this record. As close to perfection as any popular recording ever made.

  • I started off tapping my toes, and soon every other part joined in!

  • Billie is great, as usual, but listen to the band backing her up. This has got to be one of the tightest sounds ever created. Just when you think you've heard everything they can do, they take it to another level. These guys sound like they've been playing together forever, and are totally relaxed and enjoying the moment. They're not competing for attention or showboating. They're just taking their turns and making it count. This is what music is really all about.

  • This is music

  • great is great!

  • @salvadorsimp Yes, it was written by Harry Woods. The tune which Billie recorded which was written by Dorothy Parker and Ralph Rainger was I Wished on the Moon. Easy to get the two titles confused!
