@KevsHardLemonade well to be fair,neither heath or jack's joker were potrayed as the "real" joker from the comics,especially nolans cause he put a really original twist on the character,no one ever expected to get a joker like that on film.the dark knight in general is not a "real" batman movie,its more of a crime drama with a twist.come to think about it though i like heath and jacks performances equally.Also no live action batman film has ever stuck to the source material.

@usernameDOGS Actually he's written the way fans always wanted him portrayed on film: a dangerous, scary yet morbidly humorous trickster and murdering lunatic with no conscience. A villain who causes pain and tragedy wherever he goes and takes delight in doing so. The villain who breaks Batman emotionally and pushes his buttons like no one else can. Nicholson to me and many others never felt like the real "Joker". In Burton's movie he felt too goofy to take as a serious threat. Joker a gangster?

@TheInstantClassic1 The goal isn't to top anyone, Nolans world is nothing close to the original Batman, Personally I like it more, It's more dark and gritty.

Finally someone else sees it the way I do. Joker's schemes can go either way, mass destruction and chaos, or a clown pops out of a jack Nicholson in the box.
