I've been doing everything right, but still no job. Thanks for the tips, though. Maybe a company will see what they're missing out on and hire me eventually.
@Trollmaster21 I agree. I was an exception. I had to go to a few other job fairs to get this far. And the ones previous were frustrating, and unsatisfying. You really have to go above and beyond to get what you want these days...
@PBMuzik Good for you. But you can't deny that job fairs are tabled by far too many for profit colleges, companies that aren't even hiring, and lazy people that just say "go to our website" to everyone that speaks to them.
@Trollmaster21 Not necessarily true. I did my homework on Compuware, went to the career fair at my university, dressed up, talked to the recruiters, made a personal connection. Got a call 3 days later for an interview, I now work at Compuware. How you like them apples? lol
Here's the only tip you need. Don't go. They're a waste of time.
Some of the companies there aren't even hiring.
Some just say "go to our website" (why waste gas money to go just to hear that)
Others are for those worthless for profit colleges that don't teach you a marketable skill and don't land you a good job, because on the job training is something that's non existent these days.
