America was very specifically formed as a republic. Not one single time in the U.S. constitution or in any state constitution does the word "democracy" appear. That was by strong design as the founders and framers knew what democracy meant, mob rule.

Of course I'm not in favor of slavery. You would have to be an idiot or ideological whack job to jump to such an inane & disjointed conclusion. It might do you some good to ready history more, there was great debate & turmoil over the issue of slavery when the founders & framers were drawing up the constitution. They took the best possible route, they designed it to be a liberty document by which eventually the horror of slavery would be exposed.
