This is a clip of a 747-400F departure. Flaps were set 20 degrees and the TO weight was 760,000 lbs. We had visibility reported at 1mi so we could not use reduced power for TO. Winds were light. There was no inoperative equipment. I know... how real can it be with no DMI's. Check out my blog for the takeoff article... http://airlinersim.blogspot.com/

  • Yes.... I am using TrackIR 5

  • So pleased to watch an FS movie without music so that you an hear the sounds of the addon. Nice crisp quality to the picture too. Great stuff. Thanks.

  • Thanks Art.... More to come!

  • You're Welcome! Thanks for commenting.

  • Nice takeoff! Why can't you use a derated TO power seting when visibilty is low though?

  • Reduced power TO should not be performed if...

    1. Winshear is forecast or reported

    2. Anytime there is a tailwind.

    3. Anytime a crosswind is over 10 kts

    4. Contaminated runway surface snow/slush/standing water

    5. Vis less than 1mi

    6. Anytime wing anti-ice is on.
