Almost Kings has gained a reputation as one of the hottest, most energetic and sought-after live acts touring the club, venue, & festival circuit today. Voted "Best New Rock Act out of Atlanta in 2011" (Creative Loafing), they have developed an explosive underground following ("family", as they refer to them as) that have helped blow up this group in cities all over. Working with acclaimed producer Billy Hume, their new music promises to break down barriers and bring even more people together. With another release due out in mid 2012 and an extensive touring schedule to come with it, the future is looking bright for the Kings. With a sound that is hard to pinpoint, they have been described by some as "Linkin Park meets Beastie Boys on steroids, with Eminem as the frontman."
Since their 2008 inception, Almost Kings have released their self-produced debut album "Filthy Nice" (released Feb. 2009) as well as the "Club Rock EP" (released Feb. 2011). Over 15,000 units have since been independently sold. Legendary producer Teddy Riley (Michael Jackson, Blackstreet, MC Hammer) described the group as "a new-age hip hop group that plays their own instruments."
Almost Kings have, on multiple occasions, been called today's "road warriors". With 200+ shows under their belt each year since 2008, it is no wonder why their live show can compete with today's industry greats. Almost Kings has shared the stage with countless national acts (Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Rehab, Saving Abel, Alien Ant Farm, Yelawolf, Stone Sour, Sevendust, Drowning Pool, Theory of a Deadman, Everlast, Ludacris, b.o.b., Molly Hatchet, Fuel, Taproot, countless more) & the AK movement continues to expand on a daily basis as Almost Kings' internet presence grows exponentially. Almost Kings is "making their own mold by taking all of their varied musical influences & making it uniquely theirs...they own it. It doesn't allow you to stand still, but forcibly draws you and the crowd into cohesive musical mayhem. Truly one of the best live acts touring right now anywhere" (Teri Greene/GO Play Entertainment).
The Almost Kings mission is simple - bring people together for a fun, unforgettable experience that breeds positivity and will leave you wanting more. An Almost Kings show isn't just a concert. It's a party. The AK mission and brand is spreading like wildfire. Are you part of the Almost Kings family yet?
