I've heard that people have issues with the tulip tuners, would I be ok putting 12's on one? I just purchased this same exact guitar. Just seeing what you might think, thanks - Jeff

According to Greg, his Gary Moore aged les paul feels and sounds exactly like his '59, except for the out of phase middle position of course. Besides, his favorite guitar is his 1968 goldtop with PAFs, so he doesn't need a 1959,

@XANKETIMO "Dot" bezeichnet die punktförmigen Einlagen (dot inlays) im Griffbrett - andere Gibson ES-Modelle haben z.B. rechteckige Einlagen (block inlays), Parallellogramme etc., je nach Ausführung und Baujahr. Unter den wirklich alten ES-335 Gitarren (also keine "Reissues", d.h. Wiederauflagen etc.) sind die "Dots" am begehrtesten, weil die seltensten und ältesten und - wie viele meinen - auch die besten. Block inlays gab es erst ab Anfang der 60er Jahre auf 335ern.
