@BlueIsa7 @BlueIsa7 Nvidia page where they specifically deny having merged or acquired the company 3dfx, and that 3dfx was still responsible for Voodoo product support: nvidia(dot)custhelp(dot)com/ap
p/answers/detail/a_id/111 Of course, 3dfx was just a trustee and some creditors at that point, trying to get what they could out of what was left of the company.

@BlueIsa7 Actually, Nvidia only bought intellectual property from 3dfx (and hired some engineers). 3dfx continued to exist as a company, and was even trading stock as late as 2007, because the skeleton of 3dfx was suing Nvidia claiming Nvidia undervalued 3dfx assets. (And so if they won then holders of 3dfx stock would have gotten more shares of Nvidia stock.) The court finally ruled in 2008 in Nvidia's favor, and the TDFX stock ticker has become inactive.

WindheavenX and EspecteoDK I know how u feel. I had two 3d blasters (Very rare now) Sadly they got chucked mid 2004. Can't believe we got rid if them for a new 6600. F**k I was stupid. Even worse, last month I, :sniff: found my 3d blasted driver disk. Oh god f1rs was good on that card. eBay here I come. :)

All that suggests is that they got away from the Green nonsense too late.

@Hiraghm Did you hear Dosbox in working on Voodoo1 Emulation?
Get a SB Live working, Voodoo2, Networking, emulate the Pentium III, have it take advantage of OpenCL and I would be a happy camper.
That would be the end all be all for dos/9x gaming.

I just bought a Voodoo3 2000 board.
I have it running in a K-6 II 300mhz PC, running Dos 6.22 and WFW 3.11 with a Soundblaster Awe32 audio card. I love that machine!
Next project is a more powerful power supply and building a custom case for it.
I miss 3dfx, one of the best companies. They revolutionised the computer gaming world.
