hell yeah blow back. the uk went to the us for help, they called Mohammed Mosaddeq a communist and a military coupe supported by the CIA was coordinated and the shah was installed. the people suffered a 26 year dictatorship with a democratic elected leader removed. the people remember and thats why they took the US hostages.

@saad477 are you fuckin serious? im british, i know how involved our gov's are, to think were just led by the US is very naive...blair is out in syria involved in peace deals, very little peace id say for those in syria. the uk is well and truly involved, the UK deals with the finances in London, The US is more the military power and the vatican is the spiritual element.

@Rao665 and by the way, the Soviets DIDNT fail in 1979, that was a COMMUNIST revolution, the religious side was a side show until Khomenie came back, until then, it was a LEFTIST revoution. once Khomenie came back, the Mullahs took over and killed the leftists and took over it all, Khomenie killed over 100,000 people in his first year in power
