hell yeah blow back. the uk went to the us for help, they called Mohammed Mosaddeq a communist and a military coupe supported by the CIA was coordinated and the shah was installed. the people suffered a 26 year dictatorship with a democratic elected leader removed. the people remember and thats why they took the US hostages.

This is an example of what I like to refer to as "inconvenient history". Its inconvenient to the government to have this type of history explained and thats why you don't hear much about it. Guys like Noam Chomsky and Ron Paul have a seemingly unbiased understanding of events like this.

The media calls it the Ron Paul Movement. Those in the movement call it the Liberty Movement.

It is flimsy. Of course I don't see any of his old supporters with anything new. They're locked in some "toldya" cycle where they think they didn't really lose. We'll see what Ron does. If Rand doesn't pick up where his dad left off then I suspect the Ron Paul Movement will fracture and die.

Proof: Its called the "Ron Paul Movement." By definition they are supporting the man and not the cause.

And your proof of the opposite? ou are making an assumption based on what? How can you know or say what is, what was, or was not? I like all other human look into the world, apply my biases and experiences, and draw conclusions. Paul is gone, his movement went with him. Which is OK because we're left with a handful of people who have the right ideas but without the identity politics.

The problem with Ron Paul supporters is that they are following a man, not an ideology. Once the man left, which he did, the movement died. They didn't internalize his movement and grow it beyond him.
