@srobmile Without the gloves he might accidentally ground the circuit when he drops the magnet. If that happened then the meter would spike MUCH higher and mess up his deception. That and the fact he is trying to convince you that he is in a lab instead of someones garage.

BTW, it was clear this was a scam the second I seen the pyramid... hehe. When someone packages something in the shape of a pyramid they usually are trying to trick you into believing something magical is going on.

It's a capacitor and caps act like batteries. I'm not good at electronics but I would guess there are two possible reasons the meter does not go as high without the cap. 1) The burst goes by too fast for the meter to properly react. 2) The circuit is not grounded or even in a loop without the cap attached. This would be like putting the meter against the positive side of a battery without grounding the other lead... you might get a reading but it would be MUCH lower than if you ground it.

Yeah, its obviously a capacitor. These people (this person) is selling these things or plans to them. Does anyone know who to get in contact with to report this kind of fraud? the organizations Ive reported them to dont seem to be having much of an effect yet.
