Directed by Temayne Dudley Ward-Smith, this short documentary interviews Zane Fredericks, a former gangsters and drug dealer who tells the tale of millions in the same predicament around the globe. This is the second part of a four-part series of short educational documentaries on abalone poaching in South Africa. From his school days to his current dilemma, this is the spoken life of Zane.
Excellent story. Life is tough - see all the shopping malls and places to work in the background? Powerful statement - even though I do not have a job I still will not resort to crime. True character. Apartheid was atough place but this is how the country will emerge into the light.

@x11115 drugs yes... rap no!! If that were true then rock music does the same thing!!!!! There are plenty of positive rappers who don't do drugs and who went to university or college and are doing good things with their lives. These people have just had a hard life and turned to drugs whic are dangerous!!! Music doesn'y force you to make bad choices!! You have to want it already!!

@x11115 you can always blame something, like music. everyone can choose who and what to idolize. a hammer can be a tool or a weapon
