The district wants to transfer our top teachers to other schools that our in school-improvement programs. They plan to swap and tranfer 138 teachers in the MPUSD. And we honestly don't want that to happen. We want our teachers to stay at our school. So the majority of hundreds of Monterey High School students walked out of class at 12.00 sharp and marched the Monterey Peninsula from our school to Pacific Grove yelling our rights. We want to save our teachers! And if they steal our teachers, They are stealing our education.
These Monterey High School students participated in a walk-out protesting against the transfer of many loved && valued teachers of our school. I was one of them. These teachers have become apart of something more than a school, they've become part of a family. And we, DONT WANT THEM TO LEAVE. We marched the streets of Monterey screaming our rights for the stay of our teachers. Don't let them do this! SAVE. OUR. TEACHERS ! We have to fight for what's right. LETS GET OUR VOICES HEARD.

i was there, it was just a riot most of the students did this to skip school and not come back, that was my freshman year here don't think they all did this to keep our teachers from transfering

seaside and other schools had their teachers swapped too it wasn't just monterey .. and by doing this Seaside people were offended we felt that you were saying that our teachers weren't good enough to teach at your school..... but i still love you becki ;]
