@N2MSL7 no it isn't. first of all, billie joe is considerably vulgar when he talks. the song is about not wanting to be an "idiot" who doesn't know what's going on in his/her own country politically, and to not be afraid to question stuff, rather than believing the bullshit on the media. hence "dont wanna be an american idiot/dont want a nation controlled by the media" so no...and im not a fucking joke u asshole. but we do both agree that this is indeed a great performance and did deserve it :D

@gumchewingdude The irony is that American Idiot calls out people that perpetuate hateful language like you are using. Too funny that you love it so much yet don't get that you are the joke. That said- love this performance. It is the best one and deserves it.
