Graves vs. Sharpton on Debt Limit

On Monday, July 11, 2011 U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-09) appeared on "MSNBC Live" with guest host Rev. Al Sharpton to explain that America's debt crisis is because Washington spends too much. Rev. Sharpton argued for higher taxes.

It seems whenever I come to a video like this, people judge not the accuracy or depth of the statements made but instead who said it. People often say things like "Sharpton is lame" or "Graves sucks" etc. instead of listening to the points of either person. ACTUALLY LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY

@dconrad73091 Um, may I remind you that Tom Graves is a hypocrite! Oh yeah, this week the AJC (Atlanta Journal Constitution) posted a very interesting article. The title- "Don't blame me, blame the bank."

U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R) took out a $2.2 Million loan to renovate a run-down motel. The loan went into the default and the hotel is still a complete "eye-sore!" His excuse, "the bank knew I couldn't repay that kind of money, so it's their fault for loaning it to me."
