Shodan means "first step"

First dan black belt means a person is ready to start learning some deeper teachings.

In Japan there are many 1st and 2nd degree black belts in every art who are teenagers.

But really - a belt is only good for holding up pants. Building character and heart is the real goal.

@Slipknotfuckyeah1 Because not everyone is so weak they need weapons and help to defend themselves. And you would need a moderate amount of strength to even hold a chainsaw in a stable position.

Aside from that, brick breaking is just for showing off - the only practical use is that it hardens your hands. The real goal of martial arts is discipline and spiritual development - it appears you could use that. Perhaps it would calm down your torrent of anger and disdain.
