A PCJB tradition and only performed at the annual Jazz at Pennsbury concert, former band director Mike Grothman described it as the senior band member's "graduation song" from the Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band. This is the Stan Kenton Band arrangement of MacArthur Park. Directed by Mike Grothman, introduction by Barry Vannauker.

  • The 1959-60 crowd started the tradition. Fun to hear the '97 crowd!

  • Thursday May 14, 2007 is the 40th Anniversary Jazz at Pennsbury Concert. It would great to see PCJB Alumni fill the auditorium!

  • Would love to have been there. Sorry I missed what surely was a stellar performance, and an enjoyable evening for all. I hope Don Smith's name is carved in stone somewhere in the halls of Pennsbury.

  • I've just added a video from the show and yes, Mr. Smith as well as all of the band's past directors were acknowledged for their contribution to it's success over the last 48 years by Mr. Mazzeo.

  • LOL. Ask Mrs. Strauss about the band SHE played in in High School. Would put this to shame. We did it too.

  • You should have heard this band in about '84. THAT was a good HS band. We "competed" against them every year, and they were very intimidating.

  • great just like kenton use to do ,keep it up , more kenton.please
