And in his inaugural speech the Obamafurher now agrees with John McCain:

"We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished."

You know... the out of context misinterpretation of the American people on McCain's statement just shows how dumb America has become. McCain is NOT saying our economy is strong. He is saying the FUNDAMENTALS of our economy are strong.
It is like saying.... as an EXAMPLE when you build a house. Your fundamental materials needed to build the house are strong. The nails are strong, the wood materials are strong, the paint is good and will last, the pipes are strong, etc. CONTINUED...

CONTINUED ... But the house will only be strong if you put all those fundamental materials together correctly.
If you do a shoddy job of building the house that is not to code, then the house falls apart.
Americans are really stupid. Only the ones that understood McCain are smart.

Day 1: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are put under Federal conservatorship.

Day 8: Lehman Brothers files for bankruptcy.

Day 8: Merrill Lynch is sold at fire sale prices.

Day 8: DJIA drops more than 500 points.

Day 8: AIG is on the verge of collapse.

Day 8: McCain says, I believe the economy is fundamentally strong.

As troubling as McCains disconnect from economic reality is, I find his increasingly feeble appearance and delivery even more troubling.

150 year old companies collapsing all over the place, a million people are losing thier homes and or jobs this year and the fundamentals of the economy are strong? Not so much. I heard that the Vietnamese beat the crap out of him but it appears that they neglected to hit him with a cluebat.

McCain. Doesn't. Have. A. CLUE!

And he said you need to earn $5,000,000.00 A YEAR before he'd classify you as RICH?

Oh, yeah ... he's gone the finger on the pulse of Country Club billionaires. Regular folks? Not so much.

(But then again, he did marry the multi-millionaire heiress he committed adultery with - so IOKIYAR.)
