if anything, the lions were going into the test match less fit, because they'd played numerous games every saturday and wednesday before, and the boks had all been together as a squad training at high intensity and preparing against the lions for months before the lions were even selected.

South Africa's total area: 1 221 000km2 approximately
United Kingdom's total area: 244 000km2 approximately
That means you could fit the United Kingdom (four countries) into South Africa and have over 900 square kilometres left over...i would tell you to go fly a kite, but you probably don't own one, or don't know how.

In my opinion, whenever a player has an upcoming game, they're fit (excluding injury). I could also argue that 9 games could of left the lions with injuries, and like Tynansd said, if they weren't fit they would of lost, don't try and use that to tell us the lions are bad because of it.

The Boks were fit enough. If they weren't match fit they would've lost mate. They didn't play any matches before and were like caged animals going into the first Test-that was the intention. The series could have gond either way

The Boks were not even match fit. The had not even played rugby together since November. If the Lions played a trinations fit Boks then they would have been had for breakfast. The Lions had 9 ganes together.. The were fitter and still lost..
