Anyone got an idea, why this movie is prohibited in Germany? Usually round here, only really sick movies are forbidden, "normal" gore is only on index (may not be advertised etc.). Prohibition is usually only for the real sick Nazi-Horror-Porn-little-child- is-eating-its-mothers-guts-whi le-shes-still-alive-stuff. Couldnt think of any other French slasher which didnt make it here.

@AttackTheGasStation1 Yes. It went to cinemas first but got forbidden by a German court then. That's why I was wondering if it what any super-violent or something.

Yes, it's violent, but seems to be real, that's the main difference between french horror movies like Inside or Martyrs, and american ones. When you watch Martyrs, you're haunted a long time after...But it's funny, Germany isn't renowned for being a country of big censorship like USA or UK, but maybe I'm wrong...

Haven't seen one of these, but might be worth a try. (If German censorship is watching: *cheese*.) I haven't seen too many French horror movies yet, but in general I like their straight realism, like in La Haine or Irreversible.

In general you're right, Germany isn't very strict about contents (except extreme (ie Asian) gore and Nazi glorification) but this time they maybe made an exception to their relaxed attitude.
